Carol Ossi, Small Things Matter and Takoma Art Library beloved volunteer, assembled the strips, and used more donated fabric to back the quilt. The result is this wonderful community quilt and a testament to KINDNESS!

The suggested donation for each entry is $10. You are of course welcome to donate more! Each Donation gets you a chance to win the community quilt. Donations are accepted via Venmo at thesmallthingsmatter, PayPal at thesmallthingsmatter@yahoo.com or personal check made out to Small Things Matter, 14516 Bauer Drive, Rockville, MD via this form: Community Quilt FUNDRAISER for STM (google.com).

Fundraiser entry sales end at 8pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the 2024 Small Things Matter annual Gala at the Takoma Park Seventh Day Adventist Keystone Room. You do not have to attend the event to win the quilt.

We would love to have your help! Please consider donating either a roaster chicken ($10 donation) or a turkey ($20 donation) for a family in need to help make their Thanksgiving brighter. Our thanks to Tabletop, Piney Branch Elementary School, Takoma Park Elementary School, Margie Billian, Takoma Bev Co, Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation and the STM high school clubs for serving as collection sites.

The coats will be distributed on Tuesday, November 12 from 4:30-6:00pm at the back of the TPSS Co-op during our teen pantry distribution.

Giant Pharmacy and Small Things Matter will be hosting a COVID-19/flu vaccination event at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Sunday October 20, 2024 from 8am-4pm.  

2024–2025 Pfizer-BioNTech and 2024–2025 Moderna vaccine will be administered for ages 3-adult.

Our thanks to our partners at Youth Service America and AmeriCorps for their We Serve to Remember grant. Our thanks to our teen volunteers and to the hundreds of children and their families who stopped by to make a card or a button today at the Takoma Park Folk Festival (TPFF)! The baskets were delivered to the Takoma Park Police Department, TPSS Co-op, Holy Cross Hospital, Shady Grove Hospital, Police Dept Rockville, Rockville Volunteer Fire Department, Holy Cross, Germantown Hospital, Police Dept Germantown, Germantown Volunteer Fire Department!
