Thank you Glenstone Museum

Glenstone Museum had to temporarily close its doors in November due to the pandemic, but they wanted to keep their employees working and so decided to donate meals to local organizations feeding those in need. Small Things Matter is one of their many recipients. We are grateful to Glenstone Museum, Potomac Md for their weekly donation of 100 delicious meals for our families. #kindness

Small Things Matter: Winter Donation Drive

Hi Friends!

I’m writing today to ask for your help with our GoFundMe campaign.  Donations can also be made via paypal/thesmallthingsmatter@yahoo.com, venmo.com/thesmallthingsmatter, or check made out to Small Things Matter, 14516 Bauer Drive, Rockville, MD 20853.

Our Kokua Foods program had been distributing 100,000 lbs of food each month to help over 1000 families and individuals in MoCo that are food insecure.  Recent cuts to the federal and state food programs is resulting in a loss of 50-70% of the food that we are able to share with those in need. The pandemic has been hard on all of us, but even more so to families who have lost family members, their jobs, health insurance, and more due to this pandemic.  Please consider making a donation no matter how small to support our campaign.  100% of the funds raised will be used to purchase supplemental food for these families.   We are grateful to all of you for helping our community and we hope that you will continue to bake goodies, bag beans and rice, and make casseroles for our families.  We need your help with food support now more than ever. Please take a look at this month’s newsletter to see how our community comes together during crisis.

Thanks everyone!
